After Midnight tonight is going to be a cracker. And that's saying something, because last night, the Pacific Blue Note was really going off...

Roger Manins
, the NZ saxophonist who has honed his skills with time in New York City and Cuba, will be joined by Mostyn Cole on bass and Reuben Bradley on drums - and who knows who else!

Piano guru Mike Nock will also be there, demonstrating why he is the man in demand both here and internationally.

Last night, Frank Lacy, trombonist for Mingus Big Band jumped up on stage for a spur of the moment jam with Cristian Cuturrufo and his Chilean latin jazz quintet. Tonight is the last night of the Mingus Big Band's world tour so we will see if they want to blow off some steam at After Midnight!

If you've attended a ticketed Wellington Jazz Festival performance that day, show your ticket for FREE entry to After Midnight. Other than that, tickets are only available on the door, at  just $25* (on a space available basis).

The Pacific Blue Note Jazz Club is the place to be 'round midnight during the Festival - especially if you like surprises!

After Midnight acts and special guests will be announced after midday on www.jazzfestival.co.nz but you never know who else will turn up. If you've attended a ticketed Wellington Jazz Festival performance that day, show your ticket for free entry (on a space available basis).
