TelstraClear and the Wellington Jazz Festival presents

People are describing last night's After Midnight as a 'once in a lifetime gig'. Members of Fat Freddys Drop and Mingus Big Band grabbed their instruments and took jazz to a whole new place at the Pacific Blue Note, joined by Otis Taylor and - well, who wasn't there?!

Opening After Midnight tonight will be L.A. Mitchell and her band. This Kiwi songbird arrived on the scene with her album Live at the Matterhorn, and no doubt her resonant voice will set the tone for the late night jam.

Chances are After Midnight tonight will truly have a world flavour, as we have at the venue tonight musicians from Cuba, Tunisia, Japan, Canada, Poland and beyond... If last night's After Midnight is anything to go by, it will be a global mash-up of epic proportions!
