Often described as the 'Polish Miles Davis', trumpeter and composer Tomasz
Stańko is legendary on the European jazz scene. In 2002 he was awarded the
inaugural European Jazz Prize. The rest of the world took note, The New Yorker
calling him "one of the world's most original and inventive jazz trumpeters".  
Stańko continues to travel the globe with his complex, yet delicate
compositions collaborating with the likes of Cecil Taylor and Jan Garbarek.
Stańko is undisputedly a master and leader of European jazz.
